Oklahoma cops yell orders at deaf man, then kill him

Oklahoma cops yell orders at deaf man, then kill him

How irresponsible of him to be deaf. The officers were forced to kill him. "But it's not really about threat or danger, except insafar as those things excuse other things. It's about being trained to see yourself as a warrior at war with the public. It's about being trained to escalate to lethal force at the first sign of armed noncompliance. It's about being trained that lack of control justifies violence to take it irrespective of rights or risks. It's about having one of the safer public service jobs in America while maintaining the thrilling fantasy of danger. It's about being trained to expect the best sex of your life after you kill someone."

Police officer ignorantly and aggressively detained autistic boy who was just stimming

The police say it is his fault for being autistic. "Connor Leibel’s mother filed a complaint about her son’s treatment that resulted in an internal investigation by the Buckeye Police Department. It not only cleared Officer Grossman but also came to the unsatisfying conclusion that because the autism label covers a large spectrum of symptoms and behaviors it “would be very difficult to teach officers to recognize them all.”"
